Visa Debit Card

Visa Debit card gives you access to your funds 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. With a Credit Union Visa Debit card you can withdraw cash at any ATM and make purchases (with an option of getting extra cash out) at retail outlets displaying the EFTPOS/Visa sign worldwide.

A unique Personal Identification Number (PIN) will be allocated to your Visa Debit card so that you can securely access your funds.

It operates on a similar basis as a credit card, however it will use the funds in your account rather than running on borrowed credit. This gives you more control over your money.

You can link your Credit Union Visa Debit card to the following transaction accounts:

• BusiAccess
• Mortgage Offset

Your Visa Debit card gives you access to the Visa Entertainment Service which provides you with unique and exclusive offers of entertainment. Shopping online with confidence – Verified by Visa

When shopping online it is important to protect your card details from inappropriate use by fraudsters. AMP Credit Union has made this possible by nominating your card to participate in a fraud prevention program called Verified by Visa at no cost to you. From August 2009 all new, renewal and replacement Visa debit cards will be issued with an embedded chip in line with the new global standards being introduced for card security.

The chip card offers more security than a card with a magnetic stripe, as your card information is securely stored in the chip making it more difficult to fraudulently copy your card.
